Prevea Endocrinology offers a monthly support group that focuses on living well with diabetes. The group will be open to anyone in the Sheboygan community with diabetes and their support person. The purpose of the group will be to:
•Enlighten each other on treatments and practices
•Provide resources and education with guest speakers
•Offer support and an open forum to discuss stressors
•Suggest successful tactics that may help others
Diabetes is a disease that affects many areas of a person's daily life and group support can bring ideas to improve management, or provide an outlet for frustrations. Meeting with other patients who share similar experiences can be helpful for coping with this chronic disease.
This support group meets the first Thursday of each month. Pre-registration is encouraged but not required.
