Attention to Quality Guided by our mission, vision, and values, St. Nicholas Hospital provides family-centered, compassionate care without regard for a persons race, creed, or ability to pay. In doing so, we embrace the need to care for the poor and the sick. In Fiscal Year 2011, 6.5 percent* (excluding the unpaid cost of Medicare) of St. Nicholas Hospitals total operating expenses nearly $4.9 million went toward total community benefits for the poor and the broader community. *The unpaid cost of Medicare is no longer included in these reports. However, it continues to be a Nation-wide concern for healthcare organizations. St. Vincent's Hospital and St. Mary's Medical Center are our Sister hospitals in Green Bay. Together, we make up the Hospital Sisters Health System Division (Eastern Wisconsin). We collaborate on a number of projects to help us stay fiscally competitive while promoting quality healthcare. The Divisional Annual Report presents a number of ways each community benefits from the efforts of the three hospitals working together. 2011 HSHS Division-Eastern WI Annual Report (PDF) This year’s report captures our 2010 Strategic Priorities, which recognize the current environment surrounding our industry: health care reform, economic downturn, downward pressure on reimbursement and increased transparency on quality and cost. 2010 HSHS Division-Eastern WI Nursing Annual Report (PDF) Tips for viewing PDF files 1.
