The St. Nicholas Hospital Cancer Programs Receives a Three-Year Accreditation with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons
Sheboygan, Wis. The St. Nicholas Hospital cancer program has been granted a Three-Year accreditation with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer (CoC) of the American College of Surgeons (AcoS).
"This accreditation recognizes our commitment to the community and to the patients we serve with cancer,"said Sally Luehring, Executive Director, Cancer Services for the Hospital Sisters Health System Eastern Wisconsin Division, of which St. Nicholas Hospital is a part.
"A facility receives a Three-Year with Commendation accreditation following an onsite evaluation by a physician surveyor during which the facility demonstrates a Commendation level of compliance with one or more standards that represent the full scope of the cancer program", said Alberta Caughey, Cancer Registrar for St. Nicholas Hospital. "In addition, the facility must achieve a compliance rating for all other standards."
