Mary Schueller, MSN, RN, AOCNS®, CHPN, Certified as an Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist

Sheboygan, Wis. —Mary Schueller, MSN, RN, AOCNS®, CHPN, recently passed the Advanced Oncology Certified Clinical Nurse Specialist (AOCNS®) examination. Schueller, employed at St. Nicholas Hospital as the Oncology Nurse Specialist, joins a group of 263 advanced oncology certified clinical nurse specialists nationwide.

This certification represents a successful testing of knowledge that is fundamental for an advanced practice nurse to function competently as a clinical nurse specialist in oncology. AOCNS® certification is available to nurses who have:

• a current, active, unrestricted RN license
• a master's or higher degree in nursing from an accredited institution
• a minimum of 500 hours of supervised clinical practice in an advanced practice role in oncology nursing.
