St. Nicholas Hospital Honors its Volunteers for their Contribution

Sheboygan, Wis. --St. Nicholas Hospital will acknowledge and honor its volunteers at a reception for their vital role and contribution to the Hospital during National Volunteer Week, April 19-25.

More than 240 volunteers help out at St. Nicholas Hospital. Annually, the volunteers at St. Nicholas Hospital contribute more than 16,000 hours of unpaid service. Most of them serve throughout the Hospital's departments such as welcoming visitors and patients at the Information Desk, managing and staffing the Gift Shop, escorting patients, and assisting various offices with clerical tasks.

"Their service continues to share the Hospital's vision of bringing Christ's healing presence to all and I want to thank them for sharing Christ's love," said Cynthia Bertsch, Director, Fund Development and Advocacy.

Some volunteers play another role as members of the Partners of the St. Nicholas Hospital. The Partners, in addition to volunteering, provide fund raising support to various programs at the Hospital such as LIFELINE and scholarships for high school graduating seniors who are going into a healthcare field.
