Carolyn Verhage, RN, Selected as the Wisconsin Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Health and Rehabilitation North East Regional Representative

Sheboygan, Wis. --The Wisconsin Society of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Health and Rehabilitation (WISCPHR) announced that Carolyn Verhage, RN, BC, BSN, FAACVPR, Therapeutic Exercise, has been selected as the 2008-2009 WISCPHR North East Regional Representative.

The WISCHPHR is a professional organization that recognizes that cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation are multi-disciplinary fields. The organization is dedicated to the improvement of clinical practice, promotion of scientific inquiry, and advancement of education for the benefit of health care professionals and the public.

Verhage has been involved with WISCHPR for 20 years, serving on the Board of Directors since the inception of the organization. She was the President-Elect, President, and Past-President from 2003 to 2006 and has served on the Annual Meeting Conference Planning Committee from 2002 to present. Verhage has been board certified as a Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse since 1994 and became a Fellow in the American Association of Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Rehabilitation in 2001. She was also honored as the WISCHPR Outstanding Member in 2007.
