FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Visiting St. Nicholas and Enjoying the Spirit of Giving Sheboygan, Wis. --More than 250 children and adults attended "Visit with St. Nicholas" at St. Nicholas Hospital this past Friday evening. This annual event celebrates the feast of their patron saint, St. Nicholas, and his spirit of giving to those in need. Each child was encouraged to bring a gift to present to St. Nicholas, resulting in the collection of 155 toys as well as boxes of hats, scarves and mittens. Gifts and winter apparel will be donated to Bridgeway House, Trisha's House, Safe Harbor and other local service agencies for distribution to children in need in our community. Dressed in his traditional red mantle and carrying a crook, St. Nicholas greeted children and passed out treats. Festivities also included refreshments and performances by the Pop Elves, the LUCK Singers from Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School and a choir from St. Peter Claver Parish.
