St. Nicholas Hospital - 2008

Information Desk : Welcome and greet patients and visitors with a friendly smile & kind words of greeting as they come through the main entrance; direct patients to Admission or desired area; answer phones, transfer calls to patient rooms, perform clerical tasks as needed.
Available Shifts: Friday, 2:00 ~5:00 p.m. Saturdays 11:00~2:00 p.m..
Substitutes needed – all shifts.

Escort – Admitting: Provide assistance to Admitting staff by escorting patients and visitors to their destinations within the Hospital; deliver flowers and cards to nurses stations.
Extending hours: Tuesdays, 11:00 – 2:00 p.m.
Substitutes needed

Escort – 2nd Floor Lounge area: Provide escort services upon discharge from the Hospital; assist with other transporting/delivery needs. Assist with various projects. Substitutes needed – all shifts

2nd Floor - One Day Surgery: Assist nursing staff with ODS patients; clerical duties as assigned.
Monday thru Fridays 9:00 – 12:00 noon.
Substitutes needed.

2nd Floor – Family Lounge: Volunteer offers assistance to visitors and family members of patients who may be waiting for loved ones in surgery. Make sure that lounge area and coffee supplies are maintained; keep area clean and orderly at all times; relay messages from Surgery staff to family member (s).
Substitutes needed – all shifts.

3rd Floor – Receptionist: Greet & Assist people arriving for appointments to Diabetes & Wound & Skin Centers; misc. clerical duties.
Monday, Tuesday & Thursdays – New

Kindergarten/Grade School Tour Guides. Flexible schedule – generally Tuesdays 9:00 – 10:30 a.m. or afternoons – 1:00 – 2:30 p.m., January thru June. Greet teachers and students at entrance; conduct short program (w/video); escort class to designated areas in the hospital. Must have familiarity with the hospital and enjoy being around children.

Marketing & Volunteer Services: Miscellaneous clerical duties & projects; data entry, filing, collating packets, laminating - New.
