Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support

Families whose lives have been touched by the unfortunate death of a baby during pregnancy or shortly after birth share a unique type of grief and loss. Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support (SHARE) is here to help you find hope in the midst of your grief and encourage you through the healing process.

What is Share Pregnancy and Infant Loss Support?

Share is a national support resource for families who have experienced the loss of a baby through miscarriage, stillbirth, early infant death or SIDS. HSHS St. Vincent Hospital and HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital serve as the host sites for the Northeast Wisconsin Share Chapter, assisting families throughout Northeast Wisconsin, regardless of where their loss took place.

What types of services do we offer?

  • Monthly support group meetings
    • Held at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital on the first Thursday of each month at 7 p.m.
    • Gain insight and understanding of the grief process and your loss as you share your feelings in a non-judgmental atmosphere with other parents who have walked a similar journey
    • Adults only
  • Parent connection
    • Facilitate the connection with another family that has experienced a similar loss to yours for one-on-one support
    • Like us on Facebook for online support in the comfort of your home
  • Memorial and burial services
    • For families with a pregnancy loss less than 20 weeks in gestation
    • Held during June
    • In Sheboygan, graveside service held at Holy Cross Cemetery with the assistance of Kovak, Ramm & Ziegler Funeral Home
    • Extended family and friends are welcome
    • Christmas Candlelight Vigil of Remembrance
    • Held in the chapel at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital in December
    • Bring an ornament to hang on our memorial tree
  • Referrals to additional community resources
    • Counselors who specialize in pregnancy and loss
    • Local support resources for children and teens
    • Reading materials
